RIP Shears
RIP Shears are part of the standard equipment of the doctors and nurses, Combat Life Safers (CLS) and Special Forces Medic (SF Medic) within the Dutch Military. The RIP Shears are also in use by the National Police, Specialist Police units and Rescue organizations. Designed and tested by US Navy SEALs to perform in the harshest environments, Rip Shears will drastically reduce the critical time required to access and treat wound sites under multiple layers of clothing, equipment, and body armor. When operating in the field, speed and stealth are essential to survival. RIPSHEARS RS-2B maintains a low profile with our line of high-quality 420J surgical stainless steel shears bonded with a black Titanium Carbon Nitride (TiCN) coating for exceptional durability, corrosion resistance, and edge retention. TiCN is eight times harder than the underlying stainless steel (we even coated the central pivot to increase longevity) and is far superior to fluoride or black oxide coatings. Ideal for those operating in urban, maritime, or other austere environments.

The Ripper unit is 100% made in the USA. It uses replaceable blades, made from 440A surgical-grade stainless steel for durability and corrosion-resistance, receive a proprietary treatment to improve cutting ability and edge retention, making them last 8x longer than standard blades.
